Regional Workshop: Assessment of small rivers, which was held on Zlatibor, 14-15th June 2017, within the project CRESSIDA (BUILDING THE CAPACITY OF LOCAL COMMUNITIES FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN INTERNATIONAL WATERSHEDS SUCH AS THE DRINI AND DRINA RIVER WATERSHEDS) aimed to present the results of the project Value Drina, and to build local capacity along the Drina River watershed for assessment and management of their small rivers and streams.
Pilot action „Value Drina“ were presented as succesfull action within CRESSIDA project, by Sladjana Djordjevic (coordinator of action) and Boris Katic (focal point from Mali Zvornik Municipality). The results of conducted SVAP2 methodology were presented, as well as applicability of this method on small streams and rivers in Drina River watershed.
Workshop were organized by Regional environmental center for Central and Eastern Europe and US EPA.
The participants from municipalities in Drina River watershed were trained for SVAP 2 methodology, as well as for Creating and Managing Watershed Stewardship Programs.
CRESSIDA Project, financed by US EPA, involves 18 municipality in Serbia, BiH, Montenegro, FYR Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo*.
