World Environment Day is celebrated every June 5 in more than one hundred countries in the world.
Public institutions, NGOs, schools, business sector and others celebrate this day by organizing ecological actions, symposiums, education etc.
The topic of this year’s World Environment Day is “Connecting people with nature”, and the host country is Canada.
In Serbia, under the slogan “I am with nature”, World Environment Day has been celebrate with a lot of ecological actions and education.
ECODRINA joined the celebration by presenting the work: The importance and key role of riparian areas and their vulnerability to climate change at the regional conference “Environment for Europe” in the context of climate change education for sustainable development.
This paper presents results of the project: “Our capital – our responsibility” supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of the Republic of Serbia in 2016 and the municipality of Mali Zvornik.
